This museum occupies the Theodore Roosevelt Park which covers about 7.3 hectares,and consists of 27 buildings are continuous.In it there are 45 permanent exhibition halls, a planetarium, temporary exhibition space, and natural history library.

American Museum of Natural History was founded in 1869 by several people, one of whom was the father of U.S. President 26, Theodore Roosevelt. A statue of PresidentRoosevelt on the steps of the Museum, greets visitors as they go through the mainentrance across the street from Central Park on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
